Namaste!

My Background

I'm Angharad, founder of Yoga Ever After. My career began as a special needs teacher and I worked in two special schools for around five years each. I loved teaching but after my second child I decided I wanted a job that suited family life better (newsflash – teachers don’t work 9 to 3 Monday to Friday!). I set up my first business with my two friends, a special needs support service called Guiding Stars, and loved the flexibility I could enjoy from being my own boss. After three years of developing Guiding Stars I had an urge to add another string to my bow and Yoga Ever After was born!

My Yoga Journey

I first encountered yoga when I was pregnant with my son. At the time I was still teaching full time and my antenatal yoga class was a precious time for me to take care of myself, connect with other mums and switch off from everything. After my son was born I took him to mother and baby yoga classes which I loved as it was something to benefit both of us and a lovely gentle way for me to exercise. Unfortunately the pandemic hit a couple of years later and I didn’t have the same opportunities with my daughter. But about three years ago, a year or so after she was born, I started a weekly yoga class for me and rediscovered my passion. I love the way yoga links mind and body and that it’s a personal journey focused on your own development – there’s no competition. I now practise yoga every morning for five minutes before the children get up and as well as my taught weekly session I do another evening myself at home. Yoga brings me calm and strength and I was inspired to share this with little ones so trained with Cosmic Kids to teach. I always loved teaching and I am especially fond of the preschool age group and it’s a real pleasure to set them up with healthy attitudes and skills for life.
